Bottled (2004). Nutty brown, decent still tan head. Fruity (apricot, plums) with a Brettanomyces-yeast aroma. Sour, loads of dried, sweet prunes here. Fruity and sweet - I like it!

Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy amber, lively head. Tart and lemony with some caramel. Vinous with red berries, prunes and freshening acidity. Russian River-like tartness and complexity. A fantastic beer!

Bottle. Dark red / brown color with brown creamy and long lasting head. Aroma of roasted malt and vinegar. Mild flavor of choccolate and hops for such a strong beer.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, dark orangey brown with an off-white head. Sourish aroma with hints of wood. Surprisingly light body with a tart, vinous edge and distinct oakiness. The alcohol really shines through in the finish. Very interesting - sort of an Imperial Flemish Sour. Thank you Bov for this yummy brew. 130806

Second time I am trying this. First time brought a big bottle to HWOH and this time got an 11.5 oz bottle. Poured with a big head that quickly dissipated into some lacing. Color is a muddy, filled with floaties, light brown. CAnnot see through the beer at all and barely translucent. Aroma is very present - apple cider, with some hop aroma behind it. Taste is a nice surprise, not overwhelmed by the hops but pleasantly and presently in the background of a woodsy, apple cider-esq flavor. Just a hint of bitterness at the end. Alcohol hidden.
