Cask gravity at the open day at the brewery. A hazed dull golden coloured pour with no head. Aroma is an interesting blend of spicy sour, woody ginger, nettle, little veg. Flavour is composed of tart woody ginger, zesty tart lemon, pale grains, hint of mint, tangy, galingale. Palate is tart and tangy, moderate cask condition, hint of sweet and sour. A unique beer. Bottle shared in W2 - thanks to Fergus. Gusher! Pours unclear orange with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds rich malts, wood, rindy citrus. Medium sweet flavor with woody dryness, light earth, pithy and rindy orange, papaya. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with faint phenolics, some lig bruised banana, grainy bread. Not bad. Interesting.

Bottle split at CCii, thanks to Fergoose, 05/03/16. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is tangy dark fruits, light smoke, chocolate, taste berry, wood must. Taste comprises fruit cake on the turn, spice, cherry skins, Brett tickle, fruit balsam character. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light acidic rise in the close. Drinkable sour but doesn’t deliver much in the way of complexity when considering the ABV.

Bottle. Cotteridge Beano v2. Notes are pretty ropey by now. The bit I can make out says, "gravy". 2.8. I’ll have to sort this note making out...
