Tap. Astral Pub, Bologna. Dropped on ticking this one? Hazed gold. Barely a head. Nose has deep, cheesy funk. Wet leather. Old, damp wood. Dirty, earthy brett. Some sour berry. Taste is tart and funky, and isn’t without a fruity sweetness. Medium body. Fine, brisk carbonation. Light acidity. Tart and funky finish. Tell me it’s an aged Iris and I’d believe you.

Bottle. Beer 4 Bunnies, Bologna. Mostly clear, honeyed gold. Thin, lasting white head. Nose has sliced peach and nectarine. Clean, lemon brett. Some vanilla oak. Light funk. Taste is sweet and lightly tart. Minimal bitterness. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Peach and light tartness to finish. Nice one.

Taste is tart, clean and crisp bitterness. Medium body. Foamy, massaging carbonation. Minimal acidity. Well balanced bittersweet finish. Great beer.

Draft at Ranzani 13, Bologna, Italy. Pours hazy blonde with good head of white foam. Aroma is Brett, barn. Body is kind of thin, with very intense carbonation. Good astringency. Taste is fairly sour with some sweetness. Finish is fairly long and sour.

375ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Bretty, funky, slightly vinous and oaky aroma, notes of white grapes, nutmeg, bubblegum, apple juice, a touch of cinnamon. Taste is dry, tart, slightly funky and vinous fruity, slightly tangy, notes of white grapes, apple juice, a touch of nutmeg, oaky overtones, a peppery touch as well; slightly prickly carbonation.

On tap @EurHop 2017 (Rome). Color pesca giallona, un po' torbida, schiuma bianca medio-leggera. Al naso intense note di frutta gialla, albicocca, mango, citrica, lattica. In bocca è acida decisa ma senza eccessi, fresca fruttata e lattica, pulita. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Ottima.

BB 03.2023. light yellow lightly hazy color, small white head. smells very funky, earthy, spcies, musty, bit leathery, wood, light cork, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, earthy, spices, peppery, some white grape notes, wood, peppery, funk, grassy, light green apples. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of grapes, citrus and some funk. very nice one, very good balance, nice funk.

Aroma of barrel, juicy white grapes, moderate smooth cheesy funk, some citrus, some apples, nutty notes as it warms a bit.
Tastes quite similar, with more green apple and pears.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smooth, medium dry, wooden, moderate sour, citric, with green apple skin, lingering white grapes.
Tasty. Perfectly balanced, very smooth to drink, yet pretty complex, with lovely fruits, barrel and moderate funk. The white grapes are really beautifully showcased, leading to an elegant sweetness. Beautiful stuff.
