500ml bottle from Sainsbury's and drunk at home. Very light cream/yellow, clear with a massive amount of visible carbonation. Sugary orchard fruit aroma with light grassy notes. Sweet, sweet taste with crisp apple. Extremely heavy carbonation. A little bit artificial, and one of the sweetest ciders I've ever had, but it's decent enough.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy pale yellow with a lovely white head. Aroma of yeast, coriander, elderflower and citrus fruits. Taste of elderflower, orange peel, coriander, wheat and yeast. Spicy and zesty. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Light mouthfeel. Nice and easy.

Bottle from discoTesco. It pours clear very pale greenish gold with a dissipating effervescent fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, vinous, apple skin, sweet apple, prosecco, icing sugar, touch of candy, appletiser and hay. The taste is crisp, dry for a bit, then it sweetens, icing sugar, sherbet, dull tartness, light pucker, crunchy apple, white grape, fizzy candy, tinned pear and melon with a dryish, sugar coated finish. Lighter end of medium body and prickly effervescent carbonation. Quite like the spritzy mouth feel. Definitely has a prosecco vibe. I had worried it would have been sweeter. Not bad.

Bottle from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Blackley. Pale golden-yellow with a carbonation. Sweet tasting apple cider, which is less noticeable in its aftertaste and aroma, but has a healthy tasting fruitiness with its strength giving it a nice fuller taste for the palate, albeit perhaps a little too fizzy in this respect.

Very attractive-looking bottle bought in Morrison's as a new region rate. The cider inside looks pretty good too - a glowing, crystal-clear pale gold with a lovely sparkling (but not excessive) fizz. Pleasing aroma of fresh eating apple - a sharper variety, like Braeburn maybe. On tasting there's a surprise hint of straw and just a whisper of farmyard funk up front, but mainly it tastes of sweet, juicy apple juice. There's some dry apple skins that come through in the finish but not enough to offset the sweetness. It's got a good full mouthfeel though. This was much better than I expected, and I rather enjoyed it, but it has the potential to actually be rather a decent and elegant cider if only the sweetness were toned down.
