Really quite drinkable for a lager. Smells of faint barley malt, tastes like a touch of sweetness and cereal. Had a pint of this at Ceili Cottage - drinkable.

Originally rated July 2007. New arrival at the LCBO in Ottawa, comes in a six pack. Pretty good aroma of barley. Pours a golden colour with a slight haze to it. The head is white and creamy, with very good retention and lacing. Carbonation is quite active. Good refreshing mouthfeel with the taste of the barley and a light aftertaste of bitterness. Nothing too crazy, but a really nice summer Canadian pale ale.

Originally rated September 2007. Pours a caramel-copper colour with a beige head, average retention and no lacing. The nose has a good barley malt scent to it. The mouthfeel is a bit sticky, but still quite refreshing. Complex taste going through malt, toffee-brown sugar and ending on an apple flavour. Can also taste mild roasted notes. Quite a nice brew, that I would have again.

Says "beer brewed with cherries" on front label. Pours a dark red-brown colour with a soapy cola-coloured head that dissipate fast leaving not much. Roasted malt nose with lots of hop and hints of cherries and coffee. Flat mouthfeel and pretty thick. Pretty much the same for the flavours. Roasted malt, a bit of coffee with a touch of cherries and the hop taking over most of it. I find there is a little confusion with the tastes and aromas trying to mix together, but not really getting along all that well. Would like to try other cherry porters to see if it is the same.
