Bottle shared with Erwin Van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Hazy dark orange to reddish color, small to average sized off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly sourish, a hint of red fruit, quite some wood, fruitpeel tart. Lingering fruitpeel cherry tart with a hint of bitter in the finish. Solid beer.

330ml bottle at home, thanks to MonsterMagnet (European Local swap 2/2015). Dark brown color with red notes and dark beige head. Aroma is roasted malty, lot of licorice, caramel, cocoa, light chocolate, light fruity. Sweet and bitter taste like the aroma, licorice and cocoa again. Chocolate - milk chocolate when I pour the rest o the beer in the glass. Medium oily body with average carbonation. Very good!

Hazy yellow colour. A fairly simple and light bodied session beer. Has a certain aftertaste that reminds me of a strong tasting German lager.

Bottle @ Kafe Belgie, dated 24 Nov 2014, large sample. Dark color, short frothy brown head. Aroma of loads of roasted barley, slight coffee, bit dark fruits. Soft malty bitterness in taste, roasted again. But it’s all quite well balanced and the roast doesnt get harsh or dry or anything. Easy drinker, full of flavor. Black colour, dissipating off-white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, light coffee. Light roasted flavour, coffee, sweet caramel. Bit thin. Roasted finish, light smoke, coffee. Enjoyable brew.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of cucumber, yeast. Light malty flavour, cucumber, bitter. Finish cucumber. Well, the cucumber worked.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized light brown head. Smell and taste malts, earthy, brown malts, dry, lightly roast. Decent body, firm carbonation. Hmm ok beer.

Clear golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, saison, straw, grapefruit, lemon peel. Malty flavour, light sweet, straw, citrus. Quite dry. Finish black pepper, saison yeast, citrus. Nice and refreshing!

33cl Bottle from Secret Sint, thanks! Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of dry malts, grapefruit and lemon, yeast, hay, really nice bright saison character. Flavour is somewhat sweet at first, later on more dry, straw, light floral, malty, light soapy, citrus, hint of grapefruit, dry citrusy bitter finish with some yeast. Light bodied. Good saison. Didn’t get any black pepper though.

33cl Bottle from Secret Sint. Dark brown colour, thin beige head. Aroma of caramel, sweet chocolate, mocha, sweet nuts. Flavour is the same, less sweet though, little nutty bitterness in the finish. Light bodied. Nice.
