[Cask at the Lion & Unicorn (JDW), Waterloo.] Hazy amber with a tight white head; tropical fruit aroma; sharply bitter taste with a fruity body; and a dry finish.

Cask at the White Swan (JDW), Aylesbury before going to see the rather good Levellers gig at the Waterside theatre. Reddish-amber with an off-white head. There's a lot of caramel in this; in fact that's about all it tastes of. There's a touch of sweet stewed plums and a touch of dusty hayloft. But yeah, sweet and a bit dull covers it really. Adnams/Wetherspoons collabs are normally a bit better than this; I found this rather disappointing despite being perfectly drinkable.

So so. Some decent citrusy notes but it’s overtaken by an oddly bitter, astringent finish. Low drinkability.
