330ml bottle. 7.2%. Batch No: 0050. Pours black with a thick foamy beige head leaving lacing and aroma of roasted malts, burnt notes, coffee, hop resin. Taste is sweetish biscuity roast malt, smoke, coffee, dark fruits, berries, tangy grapefruit citrus hoppy & grassy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation. Finish is dry hoppy earthy lingering roast bitter. Very drinkable black IPA.

500ml bottle, Camden Beard. Clear deep gold amber colour, foam white head and aroma of grain, wheat , lemony citrus fragrant fresh hop. Taste is wheaty with a sweetish floral lemon, candy, pineapple, melon hoppy bitterness. Soapy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, light spice and dry earthy hop bitter in the finish. Quite drinkable.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s. Yellow beer with small head. Tropical fruit aroma, fresh bread. The taste is bittersweet with a crisp bitter finish. Very good, the low ABV is only betrayed in the weak mouthfeel.

Bottle @ KDT14 @ benzai. Very dark brown colour with a medium sized beige to light brown head. Smells roasty, chocolate, weird. Tastes roasty, chocolate, coffee, slighly hoppy. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Bottle @ Kings Day Tasting 2014 shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy yellow to orange color, medium sized quickly diminishing white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, orange peel, fruity, lightly yeast. Barrel aging is probably going on there somewhere but not really distinctive in the flavor. Some alcohol and sweetness is there as well. In general, I don’t dislike it at all but I’m not quite fond of it either. Decent.

Taste is sweetish malt caramel plus fruity, peach, orange, grapefruit & woody pine hoppy bitterness with some spicy, grassy & boozy notes. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter warming finish. Very drinkable DIPA.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a murky dark brown with a big frothy light tan head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is grassy hop spice. The flavour is medium bitter with a nettle hop spicy pepper palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a short bitter finish. Didn’t really get the "milk". More like a low-alcohol black IPA but a great beer all the same.
