Bottle at The Evening Star, Brighton, Saturday 8th March 2014 Pours hazy gold with white head, almost glows on the sunshine today. This reminds me a little of one of the Siren Barrel Aged beers (forgot which one) Soft, tart and tangy. Quite strong in the mouth, warming. Fruity and a little spicy yeastiness, I like the fruity tang, I like the BA I lkke the beer, makes me feel like I’m glowing like the ’Ready Brek’ kid. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle from Vino Wines. Black body with a huge tan head that holds well. Excellent lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, ash, coffee and cream. Flavour of chocolate, dark fruit and a hint of salt. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A wonderfully rich, flavoursome Stout, although it’s bit thinner than described on the bottle.

500ml Bottle conditioned: poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard @ home on 7th March 2014, well before the BBD of March 2015 (batch 0003). Looks impressive, the tan coloured head sat on top of a proper black body. There is a definite coffee aroma within the malty nose, this carries on into the taste, along with chocolate notes. Labelled as ’A coffee milk stout’, it doesn’t lie. You’d never guess the ABV was so low, this packs a powerful punch of flavours and it’s body is both rich and deep in texture with a smooth feel throughout. A very nice beer in deed.

Bottle at home from chesham brewery shop. Chinook & amarillo hops on the bottle. Aroma is big lemon rind, grapefruit and tropical fruits. some mineral is the nose as well. Clear golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Flavour is lemon pith, light clean base malt with a touch of honey malt. Lingering aggressive lemon citrus hop. Balance is off, bitterness is too much, which stops it from being sessionable. Palate is crisp minerall, plenty of carbonation.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Somehow surpressed hoppy aroma, hints of orange, pine, a touch of anise. Taste has anise notes, a dry hop touch in the background, cautious caramel malty basis. Anise seems to be more distracting than complementing or supporting.
