Relatively bland golden ale, consumed mostly in Legion halls and retirement homes by old cobbers who want the fuller tasting beer they remember but don't 'get' these new-fangled microbrews.

Light. Has no taste. Mediocre is being too kind - this has no redeeming qualities. I'll drink Molson Golden before this.

For being really light, sweetish and bland, it's not that bad. ............

Like the Red, except without that disgusting fake caramel taste. Slightly creamy texture, malt accent.

Haven't seen this one in a while. I was never the most complex of beers, but it was a bock, with some malt character. A little overcarbonated, but that shouldn't surprise.

Rich dark amber colour. No head. Aroma of caramel and grains. Initial taste is of nothing. This is followed by a mismatch of water and brewer’s caramel. Cloying and watery don’t jive, dude. Harsh carbonation. Ghastly canned corn and caramel finish. Heavable. Exemplifies Oakes’ Rule of Beer #1 - if a beer has mountains on the label and isn’t brewed in the mountains, it will suck.

Not all that good. Just one of those bland golden ales we specialize in up here.

When fresh, this is actually a pretty good example of the style, and easily Molson's best beer. I'm not sure where they sell it these days.

Light, kind of dull yellow. Aroma is strong, a bit peelike with strong corn syrup note. Flavour is sweet, with lots of corn syrup again, kind of sticky really. Not nearly enough carbonation to carry it, which kind of surprises me. Some light fruitiness in there and a hint of gasoline. Oh boy.
