25/10/2024. Draft at Craft House Kyoto. Tap list said 7th fleet but abv was same and difference not specified so rated here. Pours cloudy mustard gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is citrusy, orange, grapefruit, gooseberry, papaya, white grape. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Medium body, smooth, average carbonation. Enjoyable.

Tap at Ibaraki Bakuon. Ise Kadoya More Freak Citra IPA DDH DIPA 8% 70 ibu Deep orange gold with a dank fruity flavor. Kind of middle of the road but a solid brew. Ise Kadoya More Citra Freak DDH DIPA 8% 70 ibu Deep orange gold with a fruity dank aroma. Medium to full bodied with a darkly rich stone fruit flavor. Solid.

330ml bottle pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice smoke malts forward some light salty oyster brine notes. Taste is more of the nice rich roast malts that salty brine and a touch of sweetness on the very end.

Can from Yamaya. Slightly hazy bright gold with a large head. Big tropical fruit nose, passion fruit, mango, oranges. Sweet fruity flavor, a bit on the tart side, lots of passion fruit. Body medium. Hazy and cold, I guess the fermentation is pretty clean but I don't really get it. Nice enough though.

(Bottle) Pours clear golden amber with small white head. Pleasant aroma of toffee with notes of pine and orange. Medium body with nice fine carbonation. Good taste. Starts with a rich toffee and fruitiness and ends with some nice hoppy bitterness. Fruitiness is reminiscent of orange but subtle. Very nice.

Ise Kadoya IPL 5.5% Lovely light straw gold with dense white soapy foam that leaves good lacing behind. It’s got a good sweet grapefruit aroma with tutti-frutti and sweet tart hop notes. Medium to light bodied and bone dry. The taste adds an aggressively bitter woodsy hop flavor which kind of throws it off balance. I liked it a lot until I took a sip which knocked it down from great to ok/good. If they dial in the taste to more closely match the nose it’ll be a winner for sure. This was a Lawsons find for less that 500¥.
