Aromas of mango, papaya and grapefruit. Nice tangy bitterness in the mouth. Rich mouthfeel and good length. I can feel the alcohol a little in my throat, but otherwise it's great.

Bottle. Misted gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma of lemon rind, some herbs, hayish malt. A bit barely sugar sweet but with pleasant citrus and some resin towards a fairly bitter finish.

This was a totally random finding at Aeon Supermarket in Omihachiman. 390¥+tx Ise Kadoya Session IPA No. 2 Nelson Sauvin 4.5% Deep gold with rocky off-white foam that leaves copious lacing behind and has an old school west Coast type ipa aroma of bright citrus and malt. Light bodied but with a fairly full mouthfeel. You get that bright citrus and an underlying vinous Nelson Sauvin grape. There is also loads of bitter pine and malty sweet caramel which really reminds me of (possibly heat damaged) imported IPAs from like 10 years ago. OK.

Bottle, bb 5/24. Amber with an inch of white head that lasts pretty well. Floral grapefruit aroma with kumquat, breadcrust. So it tastes. Just medium bodied. Some light sweetness, lots of punchy citrus, firm bitterness. Fine drop.

Bottle, bb 5/24 (Carnegie Cellars). Murky amber with a good cm of white head. Aroma of pulpy orange, mango, sharpish pineapple, bread. Thick. Very fruity with sweet tropical fruit and a bit of an astringent as well as bitter edge towards the end. That muffled NEIPA palate is the price for how fruity it is, I guess. Good.

Tap in Fushimi. Hazy gold. Yuzu nose, wheat, coriander. Lovely yuzu flavor with creamy wheat and coriander. Perfectly balanced and composed.

Ise Kadoya Yuzu Hime Pale gold with a big yuzu aroma. Nice medium body with chewy wheat and a citrus Belgian wit type flavor. Solid beer. 3.6-3.7

It’s dank! Got that dirty sticky feel to it. Sweet maltiness but so thick. But not thick. Hmmm. This doesn’t make sense. It’s nice.

Quite light coloured. And taste is easy going with just a touch of maltiness there. Perhaps a bit boozier as you might expect.

Tap at Bungalow. Creamy pastel yellow, shake-like. Big tropical fruit nose, pineapple and coconut, mango, orange. Juicy as hell. Sweet and creamy,, huge tropical fruit flavors, mint, resin, grapefruit. Thick and a bit heavy, also hot. A big taste experience but not easy to drink.
