Pours with modest beige foam on an opaque dark brown body, aroma is chunky sweet coffee and no sign of the bourbon. Flavour is more barley and sharp coffee, and the mouthfeel is a little thin. If there's any bourbon in here it's invisible, so otherwise it's a pretty mediocre dark lager that's also missing some decent dunkel smoothness.

Very nice foam and a deep rosé body with soft carbonation. The aroma is tart grape must, hints of hay and wood. Flavour is sourness with grape must layered in. Full mouthfeel, just the right amount of everything. Excellent, a standout from Spinnakers.

Has a nice huge solid beige head on a very dark brown body, aroma is malt forward with soft licorice hints. The flavour is chewy pumpernickel, hints of rye bread. Mouthfeel is refreshing and alcohol is well hidden. Not nearly as in your face as some other imperial stouts but this is a more casual and malty approach, and it's working well.

Can found in Victoria. Clear copper body, okay foam, soft malt on the nose with hops that brings out notes of floor cleaner. Flavour is heavy hops with a chewy biscuit back end, then forward end, actually it just falls all over the place and the hops disappear. So the highlighted fresh hops take a hike and a substandard ESB takes centre stage and you wish the opening act was still playing.

Reddish body and okay foam, smells soft of strawberries. Tastes like sweet strawberry though is a little sugary as per usual for these guys.

The aroma is styrofoamy coffee, has muddy light brown body with little foam. Flavour is weak coffee, no mocha, nondescript. Mouthfeel is weak and not nearly sweet enough for this. It's all just uninspired.

Smells of cloying grain, sweet like oatmeal with too much sugar dumped in it. Has a weak muddy yellow body with tiny foam. Flavour is bright and sweet and malty, nice to drink actually. Mouthfeel is full and the sugariness doesn't linger. Not especially well made but drinks all right.

Soft hops on the nose, has weak gold body with little foam. Flavour is soft vegetal hops, sweet chewy sugar, vague rotting malt. Mouthfeel is full anyway. Boring and kind of badly made.

Smells of soft berry with vague apple hints, has a weak pink body with no foam. Flavour is okay berry and some tart apple cider. Mouthfeel is crisp, good tannins. Adequate but not exciting.

Earthy apples on the nose, some dirt, not much twig, maybe a hay bag, but none of it really bright. Foam fast disappears, foggy gold body. Flavour is horse hair, hay dumped in motor oil, sharp twigs soaked in nail polish. Rough and ready for an apple cider but that's a nice change from the overly sweet ones. On the other hand, it doesn't balance well and leaves a smoky aftertaste. Would go well with a smoked cheese, I'm thinking Gouda. Now to find it somewhere....
