1 Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Straw with a loose, soapy looking, white head; citrus aroma; crisp citrus flavour with a solid grainy body; sharp bitter finish with touches of grapefruit and spice. An excellent Golden Ale. (8/20/2010 6/4/6/4/15=3.5)
2 Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Seems like a different beer. Plae amber with a tight off-white head; orchard aroma; grainy body with some sweet caramel and apple; light grassy bitterness; and a dry biscuity finish. (2/19/2016 6/4/6/3/12=3.1)

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 05/08/10. Deep gold in colour with a decent, off-white head. Lemon and green herb aroma. Slightly sweet malt flavour, with a hint of lime and massive bitter finish, which was a touch touch aggressive for me. Good.

Half pint, cask. Shiny, golden brown body. Bright, naked surface. Fragile lacework on the top of the glass. Discreet smell of malts and fruits. Earthy malts and sweet fruits in flavour along with a bittersweet ending. Rather jam-like. Soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. Enjoyed in very relaxing Sunday atmosphere at the Duck and Drake in Leeds, 11.07.2010.

Cask, gravity at Merton Summer Beer Festival, 17-07-10 Pours gold with slim white head, nice clarity to this. Aroma is a bit zingy with citrus, a touch of freshly chopped garden herbs and a little pine. This is a clean tasting fresh crisp tasty bitter beer, the lemon and pine show a little in the mouth, and whilst this is really enjoyable its never likely to have that wow factor.
