A very slight haze to a golden body. Decent, white lacing-head. Low impact of fruity hops to the nose. Fruity taste. Foamy in the mouth. Unvaried and rather thin mouthfeel. Cask, half at Bath Hotel in Sheffield 30 Sep 10.

Cask, handpull at The Standing Order, JDW, Edinburgh, with Craig, Rob (Rob’s mate) Jan, Charlotte & Loz, 29.10.10 Pours amber with good head, great clarity looks decent. Better than many GK beers, s it is not too sweet, with not so much toffee. Some light fruitiness and bitterness. Better than expected. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Spoons Fest! Clear amber beer with a tiny white head. Light dry palate that is also softish. Smooth malt with cooling almost minty hops. Some orange as well but very little bitterness. Traces of sweet red fruit and banana. Dry finish and then some bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice!

bottle from Tesco Honiton (08/2010). Deep amber-golden colour, small white head. Intensive aroma of vanilla with perhaps a bit of rum. Full-bodied, robust malty base with vanilla, rum and oak cask flavours. Lovely dry and hoppy-bitter finish adding a citrusy acent. Lingering hoppy-fruity finish with a warming touch of whisky. A beautifully-crafted IPA!

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. An attractive golden amber colour with a thin off-white head; aroma of red fruit; thin, sweet and lightly fruity with some slightly sour malts; and a touch of spice to finish. Quite pleasant.

Pored into a pint slowly. Looked like a stout right after the poor. Because of the nitro can. Head started massive and then stayed. Smell was light malt and light caramel. Taste much the same, NOTHING else there. Medium body with a nice creamy feel and after taste. Which is the only good thing I have to say about it. Let this one sit on the self. Choose something else.....

Bottle. Pours clear, hay-gold with a light, white head. Wet hop and grainy malt aroma. Lightly sweet with some crisp sugar and bread, along with straw-like bitterness. Light in body with fizzy carbonation. Finishes crisp and dry, with light malts and some faint, grassy hops, along with a slight tart note. Not that bad.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a soft, off-white head. Fruit and malt aroma with some sugars and apple. Sweet flavor, with a crisp and sugary malt character that reminds me of a lager. Has some mild bitterness, lightly earthy. Medium in body with average to fizzy carbonation. Finishes sweet, semi-dry with lingering sugars and faint hops. Not bad. (3.5)

Clear bottle picked up after reading Wild Brews. Pours with a deep brown body with an off-white head that fades. Aroma is...skunky...WHY CLEAR BOTTLES?!?! Behind the skunk (which is very strong) is leather, treacle, vinous notes, leather, light vanilla and oxidation. Light struck-ed-ness is by FAR the biggest character of the nose. Some raisins. Flavor is skunky and sweet, light vinous, stale malt, light bitterness. Extremely disappointing. Why the hell would they use a clear bottle?! I am left with a boring, stale, skunky mess of a beer. Light jammy notes. Lively bubbles. Massive disappointment!
