Pours deep bronze into an English pint. Off-white head quickly recedes to nothing. Sweet malts and mild hop aromas. Flat, sour and bland with caramel upfront.

Pours with a beautiful cascading nitro blonde head into an English pint. Malt aromas. Well-balanced, but slightly flat - but very drinkable.

Leicht herber Antrunk, untertönig auf mildem Level würzig. Im Mittelteil milder werdend, der Unterton rückt in den Vordergrund da die Herbe nachlässt. Im Abgang würziger, kräuterartig malzig, erfrischend bitter werdend. Im Nachgeschmack würziger als zuvor, insgesamt aber mild-mittelintensiv. Netes und süffiges Bitter. Cask @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, light to moderate hoppy, flowers. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Flavor has a very nice hooy taste. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (050808)

500ml bottle from Sainsburys, Bracknell. Golden amber with a ring of off-white head; intense aroma of roasted malt and caramelraisin sweetness in the mouth with lots of dark sugar supported by a chewy malt body; quite a prickly mouthfeel. The finish is long and warming with vanilla and oak.

Bottle 50cl @ chris_o’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008.Clear medium yellow color with a average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly dimnishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (020808)

Bottled@SBWF2008. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is hops, caramel malts and some mild notes of wood. Flavour is hops, grass, caramel and some slight paperyness. The spicyness grows towards the finish and aftertaste.

500ml Bottle - Copper coloured. Dry malty aroma which is a bit sterile but there is a fruity hint. Fruity and malty taste with some light vanilla notes and raisins.

Cask at the Champion of the Thames in Cambridge. Strange gold color with a light head. Citrus/floral smell. I would drink it again. Note from 10/14/2004.
