Rerate:
Clear 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Original wort 12.1%. Beautiful amber colour, decent head. The aroma has first a pleasant whiff of hops, then some dull notes of toffee and attic dust take over. Toffee and fairly decent hops in the flavour, but the overall impression is not as good as I remember it (canned, dutyfree) from the "good old days". But maybe my tastebuds were easily impressed back then?

As nitro-killed Irish ales go, this is not particularly notable.............

Seems like it might be a good beer if I wasn't having a nitro-can...........

An oaky beer which begins malty and winey. Has nuances of a Flemish ale, cherry notes and is like a lighter version of Gale's Prize Old Ale.
