bottle, thank you pivnizub! Clear amber-copper colour, large and creamy beige head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied with good malty flavours, hints of roasetd malt and raisins. A good one.

Very mild in both flavor and aroma. Smooth, almost too smooth. Light (and I mean LIGHT) hops, and caramel malts. If it were any stronger it would be all alcohol flavor, but thankfully it’s just over 3.5%. Not offensive, though. (Draught at Full Monty, Yokohama)

Handed this at a family get together over Christmas, which wouldn’t have been so bad were it not for the fact that I was then passed another, yum. Straight out of the can so colour difficult to determine, taste was smooth, lazy and with a soft bitterness, plenty of caramel and few hops, I suppose it was what I expected really. 2008-11-12, Cask Conditioned at J. D. Wetherspoon - The Moon Under Water, London, 4-4-4-2-9=23
Copper color with a thin head and nice lace. Plain Bitter, medium-low bitterness, and a quite disturbing metallic flavor and final. Poor.
2008-11-03, Cask Conditioned at J.D. Wetherspoon - Penderel’s Oak, London, 5-3-5-3-10=26
Some caramel flavor with light residual sweetness, light paper aroma, correct bitterness, lightly metallic finish. Too simple.

On cask at the Waggon and Horses in Newmarket. A step above the bottled version. Decent enough hops, just nothing special.

My staple beer when I lived in Suffolk. Misunderstood, but a decent enough Mild, when you want to avoid heavy or high alcohol beers. Certainly several notches above the American light beers.

Nice enough IPA, milder than most. Decent hops throughout, bitter finish. Not much on character or complexity.
