Bottle. Pours a dark and reddish brown with a minimal head. Aromas are decent enough... a nice mix of wood and must with dark fruit (figs and cherries) and toffee. It has a bit of a vinous air to it, as well. Flavor is very good as well... the first sip was a bit rough, but after that initial shock, things got downright nice. There is a black cherry flavor that lingers around that I haven’t seen before, but is darn nice. A couple of small issues that I have are that it comes off as a bit watery at a couple of points as it blossoms across the palate and the finish is a little bit rough.

Bottle. Apperance; Light caramel, clear with a small white head. Aroma; some sence of hops and flowers. lightly bitter at the end. Not to much taste.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry English style hops with some dry malt. Taste is also quite dry with some noticeable hops with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with OK carbonation. I thought this was a bit too dry and lacking in floral notes.

16.9 oz bottle. Dark copper/brown body with mohagany highlights when held up to the light. Short, off-white head. Big caramel candy-like aroma with sweet notes of molasses, vanilla, plums, nuts and a hint of mustiness. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic and very lightly bitter. The finish leaves a bit more bittnerness along with a tartness. Slight oxidation is evident. Medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Unique, complex and very enjoyable.

Cask at Queens Larder, Bloomsbury 15 Nov 08. Dark brown colored. A small fluffy head. Aroma of nuts amd malt. Flavor is fruity with plums and raisins. Sweet – but a dry fruity bitterness emerging.

Cask at Cloisters Edinburgh ... Deep red brown ... sweet toffee malt nose ... pealy wally ... sweet fruit malts ... no real depth... but suprisingly drinable and more flavour if not depth than expected.
