This NEIPA poured a hazy, medium yellow with a nice, creamy off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include peach, apricot, citrus, grass and a wee bit of corn. First swig was quite nice and refreshing. Flavours of apricot, light peach, citrus in a nicely, not over-hopped beer. Lots of hop flavour without the piercing bitterness. Finish is citrus and grass flavours lingering.

Can: Poured an orangey color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt with some yeasty notes with some peppery notes. Taste is also a mix of sweet Belgian malt with some yeasty notes and some peppery notes with light juniper notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Really enjoyed this version of Fin du Monde.

2007 bottle. Cork pops with no gusher; a good start. Deep brown beer color under a thin layer of foam. Smell is slightly subdued, but after a few sniffs, there's the toasty malt, a bit of candi sugar and just a sniff of fruit esters. No faults with the taste, just strong malt in a molasses roast. Mouthfeel is just a little thinner than expected. Hugely enjoyable for an 18 year old bottle.
Spicy, floral and ripeish fruity with some estery yeastiness, pepper, citrus and juniper. Complex slow sipper

On tap at Birreria Volo, pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma has light spicy Belgian yeast, gentle peppery notes, and a touch of citrus. Flavour has gentle pepper, some earthy spiciness, moderate esters, and light citrus. This is much more estery than I remember classic La Fin du Monde in its glory days. It’s alright but far from a world-class tripel.
