Clear and golden with a frothy / creamy white head and a soft fleshy fruit aroma, hints of melon and grape. Light to medium bodied, a touch chewy with light fruity malt, a zingy little kick, hops and grapefruit bitterness and a dry finish

Cask gravity at the Watford beer festival 2025. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a a lasting loose white head. Aroma is green berries, hedgerow, elderflower, lime twist, earthy base malts. Flavour is composed of earthy base malts, straw, lime, gooseberry, hedgerow hop, grass. Green citrus. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, fresh, decent cask condition. Very crushable.

Can’t believe not rated this before. So here goes. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are slight citrus and light sweet. Light body.

Cask at Pickled Pig, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. As you might expect from an Oakham beer the aroma is full of citrus, floral hops and tropical fruits. Similarly in the mouth it is sweet with a slight sharpness and somewhat creamy texture. Flavours of floral hops and tropical fruits with hints of lime and grapefruit coming through later to a slightly dry and sticky finish. It’s reasonable enough I suppose but far too much citrus for my taste.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a white head that holds well. Fine carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon, soft malt and grapefruit. Flavour of orange pith and melon rind. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A juicy, refreshing beer with a hoppy, slightly bitter finish. Oakham are Citra masters.
