Hand-pulled pint in ’The Wrekin’, a good real ale pub near me in Wellington, Shropshire: 8th June 2013. Light golden citrus hop brew: refreshing but too simular to the host of golden brews using American (and sometimes New Zealand hops) hops that are flooding the UK market at the moment. Looked and tasted OK but I like a bit of darkness in my beers.

Cask at the Hare and Billet, Blackheath. Amber pour with an off white head. Malts and lots of fruit in the nose. A veritable fruit cocktail of a flavour with a slight bitterness. Quite nice.

Cask at the Windlesora (JDW), Windsor. Slightly hazy amber with a loose, scummy looking, white head; the aroma is grainy with a floral perfume; soft bready, grainy, body with a light fruity sweetness; then a dry,c reamy finish, that’s very gently bitter, and very moreish.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter nice dry and swet flavor. Some milk/lactose notes. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.
