Where: Brussels. From Del Haize, Etterbek.
Appearance: Off white head. Deep brown like a darker Coke.
Flavour:Dusty notes, prune , dark cherry, toffee.
Body: Robust body, sticky, average carbonation.
Observations: Drunk a bit colder than supposed to.On the sweet side without being unbearably sweet. Alcohol well hidden. Goes straight to the head

33cl bottle from Carrefour Market Cours St. Michel in Brussels.
F: medium, white, average retention.
C: pale gold, clear.
A: pineapples, mango, passion fruits and peach and this all together in candy artificial way.
T: medium malty base, the same as in aroma plus wheat touch, candy sugar, weak bitterness, medium carbonation, drinkable yet another useless beer.

Optisch sattes Gold im Glas, ordentlich Schaum. In der Nase hefig, floral, würzig. Im Trunk setzt sich fort, blumig, dezent alkoholisch, passt.

Raspberry and boysenberry nose. Clear rust colored, thick tan head, nice lace. Sweet raspberry, boysenberry, and fig, subtle cobweb notes. Medium body, easy carbonation. Nice.

Flesje gedronken dat 10 jaar over t.h.t. was.
Troebel bruinig bier met wonderlijk genoeg toch nog een beetje schuim.
Weinig aroma; beetje houtig.
Smaak is licht moutig.
Licht bittere nasmaak ebt snel weg.
Ik heb niet de indruk dat deze fles op de juiste wijze bewaard is gebleven.

On tap at Craft Bier Bar Hamburg. Pours clear gold with a white head. Some old wood, funk, a bit of apple juice on the nose. Flavour has a flick of geuze character that's smothered by excess sugars and fruit juice. It is disgraceful to call this a geuze.

Bottle at Hops, Crewe – part of their “Tour de Fridge” promotion. Pours ruby red usually with no head but you can get a small frothy cream head if you try hard enough ! The aroma is mainly raspberries, but there’s also rotten apples in there. In the mouth it is sweet and quite juicy with raspberries, malts and alcoholic strength. Finish is booxy and fruity. This is quite nice – the fruit isn’t overwhelming.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Very sweet with artificial tropical fruits. Long sweet sugary finish. I should have known.
