Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Very dark brown, bubbly beige head. Choccy porter aroma, little thin in mouth. A little watery, where are they malts? OK hop on finish. Just too watery.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Amber colour, hazy, with huge, but brief, off-white head. Fruity nose with citrus (orange, mandarin) and heavy notes of earthy hops, slightly vinous. Fruity taste, slightly vinous, with notes of orange marmalade, mandarin and earthy hops in the finish. Sweetish, but perfectly balanced. Very nice.

Cask at Fanny’s Ale and Cider House, Shipley/Saltaire 04-05-07. Very, very pale golden colour, with a huge Yorkshire head that was topped up straight away. Decent hoppy bitter beer that I tried alongside the Outlaw Mayflower (Roosters brewery) both good breweries. This one just nicked it for me it was in very good nick and had good citrus flavours and nice bitterness, not as good as some of theirs but still a very good effort.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet with a strong floral hop note, with a light note of alcohol in the background. The flavor is sweet malty combined with a dusty hop note and spicy notes of especially coriander, leading to a dry spicy end. The alcohol gives it a nice powerful body.
