bottle - Pours dark brown with a small, fading head. The aroma is light and mostly of malts. The flavor is dominated by sweet, roasted malts with some caramel notes and a bit of hops in the finish. The carbonation is livelier than expected, but not unpleasantly so. The body is a little thinner than I would have liked in a winter brew, but not bad. Overall it’s a pretty good brew.

Bottle. Hazy golden beer with a nice white head. Sweet wheat aroma. Fruity (summer/citrus) and wheat flavor. Refreshing, easy to drink.

Bottle. Rich golden beer with an off-white head. Sweet malt and estery aroma. Malt/wheat flavor with lots of orange fruitiness and a bit of yeasty spiciness. There’s just something that doesn’t bring it all together.

Bottle. Strong molasses aroma. Black-brown color with little head. Strong molasses malt. Has more of a stout flavor than a schwarzbier.

Deep red-brown body, thin light tan head. Aroma of toast, toffee, brown sugar, and earthy hops, perhaps a touch of grapeskin. Rich, bready body, with layers of toast and candies, hints of butterscotch, with a touch of dark fruit. Long, caramely finish. A bit more strongly carbonated than most lagers.

Bottled. Pours a nice sweetly tinged raspberry smell. Deep brown to black body under a thin head of pinprick bubbles. First taste impression is tart raspberries. Then comes cocoa, like unsweetened Droste. From that point comes a good chocolate smell. The fruit and cocoa kind of over whelm what would be a nice porter profile: instead of dark rich porter malts with chocolate roasties, I get a fine fruit beer. That’s my opinion, anyway. Not to style, but a sweet little beer that edges toward a lambic quality.

Pour is a cloudy brown with no head. Aroma is hard to detect. Its slightly fruity with some breadyness. Flavor is WOW super sweet sugar all around. The alcohol was hidden quite well but only b/c of the overpowering sweetness. Not a good rep of the style.

Light aroma of, oddly, Phad Thai and minimal malt. Light amber color; it looks like a Vienna. Simple but appropriate malt flavor, however, it lacks body. OK for the style.

Bottle Shared at the "Pitonka mini RB fest" Clear mahogany color witha small off white head. Traces of lacing and a woody and peaty aroma. Medium body and a slight medeciny flavor. Interesting but not aina good way.

Deep brown, nearly black pour, with a compact, light tan head - somewhat mild aroma, with hints of cocoa, roastiness, artificial "fruit" - medium bodied - starts with a gentle, semi-sweet chocolate flavor - a tart, nearly sour raspberry flavor creeps its way in - the mild sweetness and swelling tartness don’t seem to balance that well - finish is dry, with lingering raspberries that are much more enjoyable once the sourness settles - a decent attempt at making something different, but nothing all that special.
