75cl bottle. Golden with very big fluffy white head. Sweet malts, honey, some dough, fresh tropical fruits and light herbal notes. Quite sweet. Medium bodied and quite big alcohol presence. Not really that good, boring aroma and too much alcohol.

750ml bottle of the 2013 vintage in Toulouse. Pours a fairly murky, burnt orange with some ringing, creamy, slightly off white head. Nose has quite a bit of spice to it, clove, fruit cake, heavy raisin, a little booze, candy sugar, some banana. Flavor follows, heavy raisin and heavy candy, clove, banana, some caramelized pear. Fairly heavy finish, both boozy and a bit harsh from the carbonation.

Bottle from Carrefour Calais and drunk at home. Clear dark amber with lasting white head. Syrupy malty aroma with a touch of hop. Fruity malt in the mouth, some lemon hop on the finish, some biting finish. Well I think it’s pretty good but not as good as the regular which is more dirnkable. Touch of heat on the finish. Good.

bottle from Saveur Biere. Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma of sweet, rotten fruit. Ful-bodied, and, oh my God, sweeeeeet and sugary plus lots of rotten fruit. No hops detectable, this is just horribly sweet. Not my cup of beer at all.

Bottle, pours a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma brings Belgian yeast, a little oak, and some feet. Flavour is very complex, with interesting yeasts, oak, alcohol and some fruity esters. Very complex and drinkable despite the ABV. Very good stuff.

(Bottle) Clear rich amber copper with excellent thick white head. Pleasant interesting aroma, mainly spicy and fruity with some complex notes. Medium body, well carbonated. Taste has a nice spicy bite, perhaps largely from the alcohol, from start to finish. This is overlaid on a nicely balanced mix of subtle toffee sweetness and tangy fruitiness. There’s some bitterness in the finish. Overall a very nice strong beer.
