Growler, 11C. Clear reddish amber with a fine, lasting off white head. Intense tropical fruit aroma also has grapefruit, pepper. Sweet with caramel, peaches, lots of tropical fruit, dough, pepper, coriander. Lingering bitter finish with really pungent spices.

Pours dark ruby with a large head.Nose shows tropical fruit, cookie-dough, caramel and resinous hops.Very similar flavours: some tropical fruit, followed by rich caramel and cookie dough-like malt.Carbonation seems a little full-on, body a little watery.Very drinkable and enjoyable stuff!

From a 330ml bottle on 11/6/2012. Pours a clear reddy amber with a smallish head. Has a sublime aroma stone fruits and melon, with some floral notes in the background. The flavour is very pleasant with some biscuit and toffee malt nicely balanced by some citrus fruit and marmalade. Finishes off with a good dose of dry, fruity hops. A very nice, refreshing drop.

Bottle. Clear reddish amber with a modest but lasting off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, a little toast, passionfruit. Barely sweet with some toast and biscuit, dry finish with light tropical and grapefruit notes. Light-bodied - seemed a bit thin at first at 9C, better as it warmed and the biscuit had more presence. A bit too clean for mine, but the hops are very nice. [3.4] [6/12] And a bit warmer again and it’s really working rather nicely. [3.6] Growler on the sort of night that calls for a session mild, but this is ’Straya. Really does what it should - a steady drinker that’s tasty enough but not very filling. Dryish and moderately bitter in a way that maintains interest but is not compelling.

From a 330ml bottle on 11/11/2011. Pours a clear golden with a fast disappearing head. Has a very slight aroma of grass and citrus fruit. In terms of flavour, you get some light tropical fruit notes and a modest bitterness. Relatively pleasant and would be good for a session.

Bottle. Clear gold with an inch of white head that fades to a coat. Fruity aroma has light tropical and stone fruits, lemon, light spices. Very slightly sweet with oranges and a touch of honey, dry crisp finish. Good summery quaffer.
