From a 500ml bottle on 8/9/2019 (shared by Butz with thanks). Has a mild caramel and toffee nse with a touch of Belgian yeast. Has a surprisingly subdued taste - chocolate and caramel, again with a bit of Belgian yeast. Don't really get much of the barrel ageing in this. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Fairly muted and disappointing.

Schooner on tap at Club Rivers, Riverwood. Red ale with a foamy white head. Nose is light fruit and malt. Good body, flat mouthfeel. Dark fruit taste followed by dark burnt caramel and raisins. Gets better as it warms, some spice emerges.

From a 500ml bottle on 5/5/2019 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a deep red amber with a small to medium head. Has a quite malty aroma of caramel and toffee, with some dark fruit and a touch of rum. The flavour follows suit - caramel and toffee malt, and dark and dried fruit. The bitterness is moderate to firm. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. An enjoyable biggish brew.

Juice bomb alert! Pours very murky yellow. Pine nose is an understatement. Very chewy and fruit juicy. All pineapple. No false advertising here.

On tap at Good Beer Week 2019 Launch Gala. Deep amber. Biscuit and spice nose. Not as much going on tastewise. Lacked the oomph I was hoping for. No superhero.

Pint on tap at Club Rivers,Riverwood. Pale amber beer with a small foamy head, high carbonation. Slightly hazy. Nose has touches of pine, dough and lots of umami (specifically tomato). Laces well. Taste is lightly bitter. It's a refreshing IPA with a good old style dry hop finish. Herbal, woody, no gimmicks. Solid.

Sampled from the tap at the Royston Hotel. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has tart tropical fruits, light peach and a bit of grain underlying. Flavor has sweet peach, growing tartness and a bit of light sweet grain backing.
