Clear amber beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty oxidized, a bit fruity, dried fruits, sourish impression, red currants, caramel notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, some caramel, chestnuts, good bitterness, some dried fruits, a little oxidized, soft acidity, nice! Aftertaste: good bitterness, fruity, hoppy touch, gentle acidity, a hint of red currants, nice one, very refreshing, a bit resinous, nice!

Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso il fruttato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido appare nuvoloso. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato e articolato. L'amaro non è invasivo. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità . Al palato arrivano note di miele, cracker, frutta secca, agrumi, spezie, arancia, erbe aromatiche, mandorla fresca e rabarbaro.

0.33 l bottle as a gifz. Pours hazy golden with very thin head. The fruity notes and the extreme hoppy bitterness are very very good combined both in aroma and taste. At first come the sweetish fruity and floral notes and then the overwhelming bitterness on the palate. Light to medium bodied, softly carbonated. Superb brew.

75 cl bottle. Unclear orange body with a small, short lasting white head. Aroma is acidic fruity, apricot, peach and funky. Flavor is mostly acidic and tart, but has some part of sweet peach/apricot as well. Pale malt, fruity as mentioned, acidic lemon, wood and slightly bitter. Fine body and acidic apricot/lemon aftertaste. Not balanced at all, way to sour, still kinda nice at the same time, this has something real far away from lactic yogurt hell. Not as refined as Cantillon Fou' Foune, not even close but sure has some fine qualities as well.

Draft @ ML Fontainas. Une brasserie qui m'avait été introduite par ML à l'époque de tous ces festivals italiens - une époque révolue malheureusement. De plus qu'avace la fermeture du Caulier 28 de la Gare Centrale, la disponibilité de Toccalmato s'en est retrouvée encore plus faible.
De fait, cela toujours plaisir de trouver leur bière à Bruxelles. Je pense que ce fût doit être dans la cave du Moeder depuis pas mal de temps.
Cpouleur brune trouble, franchement pas top au visu, qcq bulles à la surface sur un effet blanc-cassé.
Arôme est centré sur l'apport de cette barrique de marsala qui domine, au même titre que le bouquet aigrelet. Pointe d'oxydaton, fruits secs avec une petite touche toastée.
Palais présente un léger acatctère boisé assez fort avec un retrait d'acidité-aigreur marquée mais sans tomber dans un côté trop surfait voire infecté. Je note cependant une pointe acétique. La mise en barrique de marasala donne une note fine oxydée voire de vin cuit. Note de tamarin, finement sirupeux mais contrebalancé par le côté aigre, effet d'abricot mariné sur la fin.

Bottiglia. Un arco olfattivo dominato da orzo tostato, caffè, cioccolato e affumicato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera molto elevata ed elegante e il modo in cui permane è considerevole. Il cappello di schiuma color marrone castagno resiste poco e termina con merletti sul bordo del bicchiere. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. La carbonazione è vivace. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra impegnativa a causa dell'elevato livello alcolico. Il finale è felpato, pulito e complesso. Al palato si fermano impressioni di miele, cioccolato fondente, liquirizia, erba, agrumi, affumicato, frutta secca, resina, fiori, cuoio, tabacco di sigaro, cherry, vino Porto, burro, caramello e bruciato.

Bottiglia. Un territorio olfattivo dominato dallo speziato. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il mantello birroso superiore resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di aspetto velato. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma della frizzantezza. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è non invasivo. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità . L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, crosta di pane, erba, agrumi e spezie.

Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è nella media e c'è anche una componente moderatamente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è sufficiente. Il retrogusto è di media intensità . Sulla lingua si attestano indizi di miele, cereali, agrumi e limone. La percezione alcolica non è esagerata.

La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il piano sottostante appare limpido. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma del perlage, con carbonazione persistente. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è nella media e c'è anche una componente moderatamente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata e permane in maniera sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di birra beverina. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità . Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, lampone, fragola, sour, frutta secca, agrumi e pompelmo rosa.
