330 ml bottle pours out a dark brown with a little bit of orange highlights topped with a tan head. Nose is nutty malts some sweetness a little caramel pit fruit and a light spice. Taste is more of the sweet caramel malt and pit fruit.

Black with quick fading head. Strong aroma and flavour of dark, heavily roasted malts. This leads to a light smokiness in the finish.

Fruitig, zurig aroma. Smaak is bitter.

Bottle shared. Pours very hazy orange with brown sediment non-floaters. Aroma of yeast, caramel, soap, candy, light spice and toffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Very nice hazy amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head with a nice lace, at least. Aroma of hops, belgian yeast, bread, light spices and a good deal of caster sugar and honey sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong rich malty flavour with some grass and crystal malts noticeable coupled with a touch of wheat and light hops, showing the strong sweetness, but even stronger yeast quality. Aftertaste is quite complex with the yeast strain being nice and rich, but also allowing for some sweetness and a touch of fruity flavours at the end, all with great carbonation throughout. Overall, a surprisingly good beer (it is from belgium afterall) with an even better label. I sampled this stubby 33 cL bottle purchased from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for €2,95 sampled at home in Washington on 10-December-2015 after a long layoff after running the USMC Marathon in October 2015, i’ll be back to running thanks to this beer.

@ WBF 2015. Dark brown colour, thin head. Nose of roasted malts and coffee. Rather thin and weak. Also some metallic notes. Bitter and dry.
