28/11/2015 - 15cl sample @WBF2015, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte - shared with tderoeck. Black colour with just a small lacing. Mild coffee, mild roast in nose and taste as well. Only mild bitterness. Not bad but not impressive.

Bottle. I have seen ratings about this gushing, but my specific bottle behaved itself. Pours very dark amber to brown. Surprisingly light ! Small white head fades fast. Scent is bit sweet, but not intense at all. Taste is sharp on booze and sugar. Not too complex. Just plain sweetness from sugar, with some maltyness underneath. Boozy, as said before, but doesn’t have the body to go with it.

sampled at Winterbierfestival ( Vichte ) 2015. Pours black, small white head. Smell is dark chocolate, bit sweet. Taste is mildly bitter, coffee, bit plastic. Rather weak, OK mouthfeel. Rather high carbo, Not convinced here

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: vanilla, coffee, caramel, mocha, roasted. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very roasted, mocha, coffee, charcoal, little bit of vanilla, dark chocolate. Aftertaste: cocoa powder, bitter, spicy touch, more dark chocolate, little sourish, roasted finish.

Pours a murky brown with no head and little carbonation. Aroma has some wild yeast and wet wood. Flavour has some red fruit tartness and traces of almond in the finish.

Murky light brown pour. Has a sweet, sugary aroma. Flavour is full of candy sweetness. A bit of a sugar bomb.

Bit of a gusher. Pale blond and hazy with lasting lacy head. Quite a yeasty aroma. Tastes very clean and crisp. Lively carbonation. Flavour is a bit yeasty and quite dry in the finish. A good thirst quencher.

06/11/2015 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte. Hazy orange/golden with nice quickly fading white head. Softbalanced nose & smell. Alcohol, caramelized aplles, sweetness, refreshing.

33cl Bottle from Prik&Tik Baelus, as Den 12. Hazy amber-brown colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of champagne yeast, grapes, green apple skin, figs, sweet malts, some hidden toffee. Flavour is quite sweet, creamy, figs, red fruits/roosvicee, malts, some toffee, bittersweet finish, alcohol bitterness. Full bodied, slightly alcoholic, very soft carbonation despite the champagne yeast (which is a good thing imo), creamy mouthfeel. Good.
