Medium, amberish-tinted dense & fine head over clear paler amber beer. Nutty nose, hazelnutoil, caramel : sweetish-nutty. Initial hint at acidity, then faint bitterish-caramelly flavour with clear signs of oxydation/ted malt. Feels way more carbonated than it looks, bit slick, but light body. If it realy carries 7% ABV, then that’s too much for runners; for the rest it’s inoffensive.

Pours a near clear amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces thickly. Aroma has lots of light stone fruits with some sweet grains and a hint of metallic. Flavor has sweet grains up front with some sweet light fruit and a hint of berries.

33cl bottle @ home. Clear sort of dimmed, matt red color, small off-white to beige head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell sourness, green apple, sour fruits. Tastes almost the same: sourness, sour fruits, some sugar and a bit weird. Like Blondje this is just not what I like or it’s a bad bottle.

33cl bottle @ home. Clear a bit pale yellow-golden color, small white head that diminishes almost instantly. Smells weird, malty and medicinal, herbs and spices. Taste isn’t good either, sourish malts, sour apples, yeast, herbs and spices. Absolute drainpour for me this one.

33cl bottle @ the Diester Bierfestival on 20 Oct 2012, labelled as ’Den Twaalf.’ Dirty washing up water brown: scummy head, not a good start. Strange farmyard esters: fruity, yet with a grubby feel to the smell. Semi-sour moving towards vinegarous in the taste and mouth feel: did I try a bottle with a yeast infection? No according to a couple on my table it had been the same when they’d had it elsewhere and many months before. Tried to enjoy it, but failed. A long way from being a good quadrupel on the evidence I had in my glass: the wife didn’t like her portion either!

Cloudy brown beer, no real head. Unpleasant nose of sour marmite with a dollop of cow pat. Palate has low carbonation. Sour malt, marmite, stewed fruits and something unpleasant - maybe the realisation of the cow pat nose! Coca cola. A train wreck of a beer and possibly the most unpleasant high abv I have had the misfortune to come across. Ghastly!

Bottle @ Bandlys Blålys, Odense 2012. Pours ruby amber with a off white head. Nose is spicy. Coriander and nelliker. Bayleaf.. One dimensional spice hell. Medium bodied.

Clear red to reddish brown beer, irregular aery off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: grains, cow fodder, stable, caramel, toast, pretty German, like Schwarzbier or Dunkel. Also some raisins, brown candi sugar, some vegetables. MF: too much carbon, medium body. Taste: nasty sour start, red berries, some red wine vinegar, little bit of grains and caramel. Aftertaste: sour, a bit earthy, tobacco, little bitter, sour red berries, watery ending.

Taste: sour, bit sugary, overripe fruits, rotten stuff. I'll finish here. Another disgusting, completely infected beer. Why do they keep making and selling this stuff? Why do I keep trying it?
