Bottle Pale golden color. malty citric aroma with a hint of salt. Malty slty yet fruity and dry flavor. Citric notes. Hint of soap. Shortish aftertaste. A pleasant beer.

2013 corked bottle. Dark brown color. malt, caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon and cognac in the aroma. Roasty even smoky notes. Full bodied. Malty sweet, roasty smoky flavor. Cedarwood, cigars, cognac. Slight alcohol burn. Complex, sweet but delicious beer.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Hints of malt and old coffee in the aroma. Malty caramelly sweet flavor with roast and just hints of coffee.Maybe getting a bit stronger in the aftertaste. OK, nothing more.

2014 bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, candied fruit and bourbon in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with vanilla and dominatinmg bourbon. Oaky, alcoholic. Dried plums. Nice!

2014 bottle. Dark brown color. Candied fruit and peat in the aroma. Ash. malty sweet flavor with warming alcohol, ash, iodine and peat. A bit too alcoholic, slightly out of balance.

Clear pale blond to yellow beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive, leaving no lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, grains, sweet, some marzipan, reminds me of a Czech Republic lager, not bad at all! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, sweet, grains, bit fruity, citrus touch, very soft bitterness. Aftertaste: malty, grains, bit sweet, soft bitterness, some banana, decent one!

Small off-white rim over dark brown beer. Marzipan & rosemary. As to Islay... ? Thick maltnose. In the mouth, smoke and oak appear, if very restrained, and in fact not for the worse. Very mild phenols, tarred poles, fusels. Medium bodied, alcoholwarming, long-lasting mild peat. Mild - but good.
