Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy orangey brown with a dense and lively beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of hard roasted malts and dried fruits. Medium body, hard roasted malts and a little ashes. A little tartness in the finish and some malt bitterness. 230909

Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam HAzy orange/blodn body. Creamy, bit rocky head. Aroma of american hops, citrus, flowers, honey, caramel ... very nice. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavour (bit watery) which is not as nice as the aroma, but still ok.

Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam Hazy amber body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Aroma of caramel, orange peel, citric hops, yeast, ... bit sweet. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour of oranges and caramel. Mouthfeel is a bit weak and also has a tweak in the taste which makes it out of balance. Quite nice, but not fully ok.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 2 Aug 2009) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, grapefruit and a touch of resiny hops. Fruity, malty taste with grapefruit, caramel, resin and orange peel. Full bodied, sweetish, well balanced with a distinct, generous, citrussy hop bite. Some alcohol warmth as well. Lovely beer.

(Draught at ’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 31 July 2009) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with apricots, toast and fresh hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of dried apricots, caramel and a rather dry, hoppy finish. Slightly above medium body, generous bitterness. Very tasty beer with a nice hop character.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, metalic - galvanized pipes, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average duration. (33cl bottle) Sweet and delicately roast-malty aroma with distinctively fruity accents and shades of caramel and licorice. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Roast-malty taste with notes of chocolate and a lighter touch of coffee; slightly nutty and burnt grainy finish with subtle fruity notes. Too fruity for a Porter of my liking, as if it was already a bit off (11.VIII.09).

Bottled at PBF. Cloudy rust colour, beige creamy head. Caramelly toffee aroma. Sweet and toffeeish. Buttery and fruity with medium body. Just caramel - not much else. Low bitterness.

Bottled (PBF, BB 08/2008). Ruby color, small beige head. Spicey (clove) and a bit caramelly aroma. Flavor has light grassy hops, caramel/candy sugar, some strange bean notes. Yeasty, grassy, caramelly aftertaste. Not very interesting.
