At some fancy sushi joint: pours orange with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is yuzu, citrus, somewhat malty backbone, and some other aromas I jad a little difficulty pinpointing. Taste is lightly sweet. Quite citrusy. Not too thick body. Low bitterness. Interesting flavors. Better than expected. Also did not realize how much alcohol was in this one.

Bottle shared at a tasting at troubles’s place. Hazy amber. Aroma with lots of spiciness (coriander, pepper), flowers, some yuzu, a bit of earth. Flavor is mildly sweetish with some malt, spiciness, yuzu, flowers, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Sampler at AEON Liquor Asagaya. Very big, juicy yuzu nose with some light citrusy notes. Really hides the abv well. Good carbonation with more yuzu on the palate, slightly pulpy in a good way. Herbal and peppery sansho finish but not overdone like so many sansho beers. Dry through and through. A really great wit. --- Beer merged from original tick of KAGUA BLANC on 23 Apr 2016 at 16:04 - Score: 7. Original review text: Yuzu and yeasty wit line nose. Hides the abv well. Sancho onthe finish. Herbal and peppery. Very nice.

Sampler from Aeon Liquor Asagaya. Very yeast-forward nose with some pithy orange notes on the nose. Very tired on the palate. Feels old. Dry with some lemon and chalk. Light pepper on the finish. More yeast. Meh. Must be a year old. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tokyo IPA 2015 on 23 Apr 2016 at 15:57 - Score: 5. Original review text: Kind of old. Dry and yeasty on the palate. Lemon and chalk. Light pepper. Meh.

Powerful aroma as soon as the bottle is opened. Sweet fruits, coriander, lemony, malt. Flavor is full of spice. Lots of the coriander and pepper. Sweet and perfume in the background. Very chalky dry mouth. Has a lot of potential but fails in the follow through.

On tap at The Roundhouse Taproom, Hong Kong. Dark amber with a small head. Mostly soap, ginger and malt in this one. Not my kind of beer.
