Description
Since our inception on a commercial scale in 2008 we have evolved as a brewery immeasurably.
The Brewery has moved up several gears in the past 12 months & is now growing at an alarming rate!
We as a team have grown with the brewery. Started in 2008 with Directors James Farran, Andy Baker & Meyrick Kirk the brewery now has a fulltime drayman, a head brewer, a managing director & soon to be further additions to the team.
We are a brewery with an extreme passion & a strong identity, our beers are unapologetically flavour forward in nature, hop & malt laden beers that challenge today's modern beer lover. Beers with heart, soul & raging personality.
In the coming years we plan to continue to grow by fervently pushing the boundaries of what is possible when brewing beer, to excite you the deserving beer connoisseur who should settle for nothing less than than beers that excite & ensare your senses. We invest heavily in our beers with LOTS of the very best ingredients, why settle for beers that don't?

Purchased from Beer Ritz, Headingley, Leeds, W.Yorks 17.03.12 consumed at home Tuesday 20th March 2012 (I think) A little beef stock comes from somewhere with a steady stream of hops also showing. Smooth and slick with an oily citrussy flavour starting to assert itself. Bitterness is tempered a little, roastiness showing, quite lovely beer, citrus once again in the mouth, this just gets better and better the more you sup. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

33cl bottle. Pours golden with a slim head and virtually no bubbles. The nose has floral and grapefruit. The taste has pine and grapefruit pith with just a nice hint of maltiness in the background. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a fresh finish. Overall, good scooper!

Bottle shared at The Kernel for The Thomas Ultimate Birthday Bash, London, thanks to Evin. Pours an impressively dense, oily brown with a thick, foamy beige-brown head. Plenty of filter coffee in the nose. Big sweet flavor, lots of roasted malts, bitter mocha, dark baking cocoa, dark sugar. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Sticky chocolate finish, tobacco, roast, mocha, light vanilla and burnt wood. A very solid, highly drinkable impy. Summer Wine keeps doing good work.

Cask @ The Anderson, Fortrose 130212
Amber...clear...frothy white head...some lacing
Aroma - quite strong citrus grapefruit....touch of orange....sweet pale malts...light cereal
Taste - strong bitter grapefruit...bitter orange zest...sweet pale malts...lot of flavour for 4%
Palate - soft carb...thin body...bit oily texture...very bitter citrus slight grassy hops. Finish - very bitter...lingers far too long...doesn’t clean off palate....gets rather metallic
Overall - Lots of aroma and flavour but spoiled by a far too long astringent over long bitter finish

Cask, Philarmonic, Liverpool. Swarthy black looks with a mid range lingering tan head. Coffee laden snout . Pleasantly full and rich flavour with notes of dark choc, roasted malts, further coffee and a little hop bitterness. Some building dryness emerged towards the finish. Slid down a treat, good stuff.
