Description
Since our inception on a commercial scale in 2008 we have evolved as a brewery immeasurably.
The Brewery has moved up several gears in the past 12 months & is now growing at an alarming rate!
We as a team have grown with the brewery. Started in 2008 with Directors James Farran, Andy Baker & Meyrick Kirk the brewery now has a fulltime drayman, a head brewer, a managing director & soon to be further additions to the team.
We are a brewery with an extreme passion & a strong identity, our beers are unapologetically flavour forward in nature, hop & malt laden beers that challenge today's modern beer lover. Beers with heart, soul & raging personality.
In the coming years we plan to continue to grow by fervently pushing the boundaries of what is possible when brewing beer, to excite you the deserving beer connoisseur who should settle for nothing less than than beers that excite & ensare your senses. We invest heavily in our beers with LOTS of the very best ingredients, why settle for beers that don't?

Strawberries cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring.
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Black colour with a fine small creamy beige head. Roasted malt and coffe nose. They have really done this weel. It really taste espresso. So for those who like espresso(like me) this is good stuff. But why not change the name to Summer beer :-)
[On handpull at The Philharmonic in Liverpool, England]

Keg @ Free Trade Inn, Ouseburn, Newcastle 250312
Amber, hazy, dense bubbly head dissipates to thin layer
Aroma of strong grassy, citrus, grapefruit hops...sweet juicy golden malts..more grapefruit than in the taste
Taste of strong, stingy grassy resinous hops...background of grapefruit zest..rich golden pale caramel malt background..pretty assertive
Palate - medium carb, medium body. Strong tangy zesty bitterness. Finish as main flavour, lingering concentrated orange bitter zest, bit over astringent. linger bit over long.
Overall - Very good beer perhaps a tad too aggressive in the finish

Black, ruby edges, frothy tan head that dissipates to thin layer, some lacing
Aroma of dark caramel malts, soft roasted malts, light chocolate, hint of dark toffee, quite light aroma
Taste as main flavour with soft hint of coffee, well blended, smooth, great flavour
Palate - medium carb. medium body, soft malt palate, fairly rich mouthfeel. Finish as main flavour, leaves very soft roast malt and chocolate linger.
Overall - A really nice porter with a good balanced flavour and good rich mouthfeel for 5% abv

Bottle at Kernel to celebrate Thomas’s 30th. It pours jet black, with a thick tan head. The nose is coffee, dark chocolate, some spice, smoke, vanilla and filter coffee. The taste is coffee, varnish, salted liquorice, vanilla, marshmallow, roasted malt, charcoal, tar, ash and dark cherry, with a sweet finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Balance is spot on. Great work. Surprisingly easy to drink, given how thick it is!
