On tap at Faculty, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out nothing but cold brew coffee. Flavour is similar, with the cold brew upfront, with pretty much no ESB elements. Simple, pleasant enough, but boring and uninspired. Classic Faculty.

Draft - Dark muddy wheat. Cleanish dark gold with a decent white head. Dark wheat and some light caramel. Decent.

On tap at Faculty, pours a cloudy, somewhat dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of banana and clove upfront, pretty much no roasted or even toasted malt character. Flavour is super bland, with biscuity notes, some seltzer and a little plastic. No hint of roast. Finishes with a little banana. Doesn't strike me as a dunkelweizen. Whatever it is, it's lame and uninspired.

Cloudy light amber-tan. Too light for the style - this is bernsteinweisse. Thin head. Sort of heavy, bit plasticy, I can’t say underhopped but it’s on the sweet side of the style. Light banana but the phenols aren’t fully developed here. No dark malt character. Nothing awful in here but I can’t find a lot of positives either.

On tap at Faculty, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry crisp crackery malt and astringent floral hops. Flavour follows accordingly, with crisp crackery malt and character-less hops that leave an astringent punch. Ambition-less, forgettable beer, but competent.

Golden, bright, thin head. Looks appetizing. Earthy aroma, dried leaves, slightly orangey and just a hint of that citra litterbox. Earthy, bit cheesy on the palate. Light, clean pale malts are a bit biscuity. The citra definitely could stand to be brighter, but otherwise a balanced, easy-drinking pale that would score several points higher with fresher hops.

Bright golden with a thin head. Really looks nice. Lightly toasty on the nose. Flabby pale malt taste, with vaguely herbal hop. Not all that bright, though none of the cashmere beers I’ve had this year were. Low bitterness...like this is sweet for a golden ale much less a pale. I see the 40 IBU but that’s just math; the apparent bitterness is very low on this one.

Bright amber. No head. Nose has chewy caramelized malts and earthy centennials. Earthy taste, well-balanced. These hops work well in this caramelized crystal malt context. One of their best beers so far.

July 2017: 7.4%, 55 IBU. Totally different specs than before. Golden with just a bit of chill haze Bright hops are a touch floral, grapefruity and maybe a bit tropical. Bitter, grapefruity, some sweetness from the malt, maybe verging on chewiness. This is by no means a world-beater, but represents a substantial upgrade on the buttery first brew. Whether than is recipe + execution or just execution I’m not sure. BR>
Original December 2016 rating: 6.5%, 75 IBU. Golden, bright. Thin head. Not pulling much aroma but that’s probably good because it tastes like diacetyl. Some biscuity pale malts, not much hop. But you don’t win friends with butter. 4-4-3-2-6 = 1.9

Cask, dry hopped with Cashmere. Hazy, quite pale and dull. Expressive papaya, mandarin nose from the cashmere hops. Flat. Tart, lots of fruitiness, light bitterness. Pretty refreshing - give this some carbo and you’ve got a beer.
