A hazed golden ipa with a thin white. In aroma, nice fruity biscuit malt with fruity esters, light floral hops, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. On tap at LCBO.

On tap. Schwarze Farbe, schöner hell bräunlicher Schaum. Geruch süß, leicht röstmalzig, Kaffee. Geschmack nach reifen dunklen Früchten, Lakritze, schokoladig, mild röstmalzig.

Tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy broken light tan head. The aroma is yeast, light hop, light roasty malt. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a rich smooth smoky alcoholic bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

[ As Warpigs / White Labs Frankenstout ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, fruity malt - yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, minerals, fruity malt - yeast, sweet malt, dark malt. From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is estery, light phenolic and roasted dark malty. Bitter, dark malty, overripe fruity. Phenolic and mild fruity. Dark roasted finish.

Bottled on 09/05/16, so keeping the French side of the Belgians, with the date (day/month/year). Pours a hazed amber colour with a light beige frothy head, good stay with some foamy lace. Fruity caramel malts in the nose with some sweetness from the Belgian yeast and stronger hops than usual for this style. The malt is watered down in the taste, even the yeast with again the hops being a little too strong. Notes of mild dark sugars and fruitiness. Missing the bar a little here.

Pours a hazy golden colour with an orange hue. The head is white, creamy, everlasting. Aromas of Belgian Ale yeast, cloves, wheat giving banana notes and light citrus-grassy hops. The taste is a little tarty with hints of oranges and mild cereal grains that lingers. Some mild grass bitterness does come out with time, but it seems the yeast tarts up things a little too much. A nice brew, but a little too much wheat for the style, and not enough citrusy hops. Beautiful looking though.
