Founded by partners in life and work, Charles Porter and Brenda Crow, Little Beast is a family brewery with a passion for making great beer and sharing it with others.
We craft wild, wood-aged and blended beer naturally with diverse cultures, including Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and wild flora. By harnessing the little beasts that ferment our beer, we capture their untamed beauty and produce farmhouse beers that are diverse in flavor and rare in character.

375 c&c from the Stevens Creek Total Wine in San Jose, CA. Pours translucent gold with a humongous creamy white head. Aroma from the foam is very nice Brett. Med plus body. Flavor is extremely nice Brett. Might stand up against Orval. Very dry. Brett bitter. Citrus and a mix of wheat and malt. And Brett!!!!!!!! Excellent.

473mL can, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals faded mangoes, some wheaty notes, light acidity, and a very gentle wild yeast profile. Flavour is likewise quite restrained -- it's not obvious that there's mango in here, though it seems like there's some sort of acidic citrusy fruit character. There's a hint of tartness, mild acidity, and all in all, not a whole lot of depth. It's refreshing and drinkable, but just not all that interesting. Underwhelming, especially for Little Beast.

Can, from Cask & Barrel. Here we have a mango beer, that for whatever reason I couldn't find in the db. Dullish haze. Not much head. Moderate fruit, and you wouldn't specifically know it was mango. The base isn't all that bright, which is disappointing. It's not a bad beer, but certainly doesn't bring the noise the way I would have wanted.

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours rose tinted copper with a large frothy near white head. Aroma of tart/cooking cherries with a wood note. Approaching med body. Flavor is tart, woody and cooking cherry. Extremely dry. Tart stands in for bitter. Very good.

Can. The odd premise of this beer is why I bought it, and why I'm a bit scared of it. It has some haze, but it's the unexpected pale blueberry colour that is throwing me for a loop. The aroma speaks to a thin, crackery beer, with a bit of honey. The palate is also disappointing - basic amber ale, underhopped, and the flavours are really timid. It's hard to get anywhere past thin and crackery for me.

Poured from the tap. Dark brown with beige head. Decent amount of smoke with very mild chocolate and subtle caramel malt.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear, bright, brassy gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma is bready with Saaz grass/spice. Med body. Flavor is bready, but there's lots of Saaz. Heading into the Urquel range of flavor. Dry. Bitter. Excellent.
