0.33 l bottle, as Sapporo Premium Lager (brewed by Diageo). Poured pale golden body with medium smaller head which was very durable for a lager. Quite malty aroma, sweetish, maybe some flower hops. Not too skunky with those malts, but could also be less of it. Flavor not bad, but pretty empty, just a hint of bitterness. Finish pleasant but short. Quite fine for a pale lager all in all, and beats many others. Don’t know about genuine Japanese version, but better Diageo change recipe for Harp into this as it is fairly superior.

2007-’08 edition. Clear golden with a small fizzy head and very active carbonation. Slightly sweet malts, though the aroma is is severly lacking. Smooth, but niticeable carbonation. Slightly bitter, a little malt, metallic, and corn. Dry finish. Bland.

Clear golden with active fermentation and a tiny head. Malts, sweet, some citrus fruit. Is there something thinner than water? Rather tasteless...a bit sweet. One of the lessor Japanese brews out there.

On tap at 2007 Yokohama Oktoberfest. Clear golden with a good sized head. Light hops, earth tones, and some citrus as well. Crisp, refreshing body. A nice light bitterness, earth, and citrus make up most of hte flavor. Enjoyable and refreshing, I wish it was easier to find.

Light amber color, but disappainting head. Skuny light struck nose. Grainy start and crappy finish. Why did they bother?

Bottle shared by diajokey at a recent gathering. Clear copper color, corny-malt with some nuttiness. Light beer, watery, boring. Just kind of a nothing beer, so prototypical.

12 oz. bottle. Poured into a Sam Adams glass: I want to give this a fair chance to impress me. Pale, straw-yellow body under pillowy head that’s "gone in 60 seconds." Smell of skunk and oxidation. First taste is kind of sour and pissy, with old banana in the background. No improvement as I drink further down. Just stays watery, sour and bad-coffee bitter instead of hop bitter. Not much malt to find. From the loose bottle rack at Sam’s Wines in Downers Grove.

33cl bottle from Peckham’s, Glasgow. Pale gold, lasting white head. Beautifully crisp lager. OK malt and delicious lemony hop aroma, ok in mouth, with a pilsner style sharp lemon hop finish. I liked it. Very cool and drinkable after a cycle ride in my new ratebeer.com cycling jersey.
