Cask @Mad for Beer (Rome). Pours amber with a medium and persistent off-white head. Aroma of malt, biscuits, apple, grass. Flavour is malty, medium to light sweet with a decent bitter end. Medium to light body, light carbonation. Ok.

500ml bottle at home on 1st April 2016. Poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged vase shaped pint glass. Highly carbonated, could not get all the bottle into the glass, clean and clear golden body, large white head that hung around. Hop centric with both a floral and mild citrus aroma, taste also hop first with tropical fruitiness and a mild bitterness. No bad at all, like it.

Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Dark reddish-brown with a thin bubbly head. Has a mild vanilla flavour and is crisp to drink. There’s some roasted malts evident in its nose.

Cask at Craft 100. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is very sweet, oily sweet candied orange peel, slightly artificial, passion fruit and gummy bears. The taste is bitter, straw, sweet candied orange peel, passion fruit, tinned peach, white sugar and grassy notes with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A touch sweet & artificial, particularly on the aroma. Taste is a bit better though.

Cask at The Hanging Bat and Andrew Usher’s. Clear golden body with a thick off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma of tea, grass and flower petals. Flavour of Earl Grey tea, caramel and melon rind. Thin body with an oily, flat mouthfeel. A tangy IPA.

Cask @ Craft Beer co., Covent Garden. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and roasted moderate bitter finish. 240316

500ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, March 16, courtesy of Blackhaddock. Pours dark, off white head. Good chocolatey porter character, not too dissimilar to Fullers London Porter. My kind of porter. Delicious.
