Bottle. Thornbridge brewery. Opened with not a noise. Murky, dark brown. No head. I was fearing the worst. However, there’s a nice, nutty, chocolate, fruity, liquorice nose. A hint of damp cardboard, but not really detrimental. Taste is mostly fruity, woody dry. Light bitterness, too. Very soft carbonation. Decent body, though. Finishes with a touch of grassy bitterness.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2014 - London. Pours clear, golden-brown with a lasting, white foam head. Dunkin Donuts coffee aroma, with some lightly toasted brown bread. Medium sweet flavor with more coffee notes, bready malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation; nicely conditioned. Pleasant coffee finish with bitter toasted leaves, earth. Solid.

Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Aromas of light lemon, malt. Taste is light sweet. Light body, thin finish.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Pale amber with a bright white head; citrus aroma; clean fresh citrus taste; dry and crisp with a pleasant malty finish. Good stuff.

Cask @ Sawyers Arms, Manchester. Clear Golden with a small creamy head. Has a few smooth malts in its aroma. Its taste has a crisp but light fruitiness with a nice smoothness in the palate.

Handpump @Mad For Beer (Rome). Pours pale gold with a medium white head. Aroma is a bit sulphurous at first, then malt, citrus and grass. Flavour is better, well balanced, biscuits, a light bitterness in the end, dry and easy to drink despite some problems. Light body, watery, low carbonation. So so...

Cask at the Euston tap. Pals yellow / straw coloured pour with a loose white head. Atpma is pale pils grains orange peels, light grains. Faint citrus. Low carbonish. Palate is semi sweet, light rubber. Very drinkable ale.

Cask at the King’s Head, Mayfair. It pours clear golden with a thick foamy white head. The nose is bready, biscuit, cereal, light citrus and fruit tea. The taste is bitter, sweet biscuit malt base, stone fruits, lemon rind, touch of floral, ginger & lemon tea amd dull soap with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carboantion. Simple easy-drinking cask golden-bitter by all accords.
