Amber orange ale with a huge off-white head. Wonderful hops in aroma with citrus notes. Citrus and hops with a good malt backbone. Very well balanced and pleasant.

Orange brown hazy ale with a creamy white head. Pungeant floral hops with pinhey notes. Lots of fresh malts, whiskey qualities, sweet and hoppy....and a merry x-mas to you too! Bottle sampled with TiggMtl, MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

Sampled at marinaro500’s post-Thanksgiving gathering, provided by the host. Cloudy orange body, thin cream head. Caramely aroma with nice earthy (and floral) hops and minerals. Sharp earthy hops cut the breads and caramels, leaving a relatively long finish with just a touch of bitterness and pine. Coppery. Very tasty despite the low ABV; this is indeed a liquid cookie.

Bottled. Hazy golden. Striking grapefruit aroma. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Lingering citric hoppiness. Very bitter finish. An easy going but very well balanced ale with a lot of character on it’s own.

Bottled. Hazy pale amber. Honey aroma. Sweet with some butterscoth and syrupy almond. Rich soft maltsleads to a grassy finish. Flavourful, but the sweetness overpowers a lot of the good stuff beneath.

Critical pine and lemonpeel aroma. Cloudy orange colour, creamy low head. Overdose of hops - pine, lemon, wooden dry edge in the end. Grassy burps follow. Dry hop finish. Medium to light body. I would welcome slightly more balance to the body.

Plenty of spices in the aroma (chili pepper, 5 spices and lemonpeel). Some lactic sourness Cloudy yellow no head. Weird flavors Meaty veggies, fruit, yeast, dirt very slight burn retronasal. Hides alcohol very well - surprisingly light body. Balance is off I think.

Deep red body with abundant, rather nasty-looking floaties, giving the appearance of a violent (but productive) trip to the porcelain god. Medium light tan head. Sour, musty fruit aroma with chocolate, spices (perhaps cinnamon?), toffee and lots of bready yeast. The flavor was dominated by dark fruit and not-so-hidden alcohol, bready yeast flavors, toast and maybe a touch of apple. Musty and rather sour, slightly sulfuric. Not the prettiest beer around but it did get the job done.

Hazy blonde coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of nice coriander seed, banana, bubble gum, and some yeast. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong yeastiness with a good sweetness and subtle hopiness on the tail-end. Aftertaste shows a lot of characterisitics ranging from coriander seed freshness to dry alcohol flavours. Overall, a nice beer and a truly great treat (even at $20) in Washington. I sampled this with great friend Phil (haddon90) at RFD in Washington, D.C. on 06-November-2004.
