Well-done foreign stout. All the right mix of coffee and espresso here. Pours dark brown with amazing mocha-tinted head, especially for a cask beer. Nice bitter finish. Very well-balanced and well done overall. It’s nice to see Hopfenstark do a great beer that isn’t a saison. Great effort for one of the more uncommon styles out there. Cask Days 2013.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours brassy gold with a white head. Flavor seems rather white grape with some earth. Cider aspect. A bit of sour. Slightly astringent. Nice saison.

Bottle. Malty wood smoke aroma. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Smoky wheat malt and light horseblanket flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Wow! Just wow.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a hazy golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy herbal yeasty, quite rustic, peppercorn, banana, lemon aroma. Lightly tart, peppery/chewy/bready yeasty, moderately dry, dull lemon citrusy flavor. A lot of dry, grassy, herbal notes. Fun to drink.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a murky dark yellow orange appearance with a cream colored head. Peppery, green herbal, bready, coriander, grassy, orange citrusy aroma. Fairly refreshing, lightly tart, orange/tangerine citrusy, light mango, bready yeasty flavor. Easy to drink. Probably would be fun to beer bong if given the opportunity.

Pretty nice weisse. Very sour raspberry finish - mouth puckering. Nice integration here. Lots of funk. Pours cloudy grapefruit juice like, pinkish blonde without much head or lacing. On draft at Volo for Zwanze Day.

Nice IPA. Some citrus grapefruit in nose. Pours cloudy orange with great head and lacing. Malt well-integrated and robust. Light bitter finish. Some booze as well. Finish is nice, even with some perfume. Tap at Vices et Versa.
