Bouteille 750ml. Couleur dorée trouble, voile de mousse blanche. Arôme herbal, levure, malt, un peu sûre, citron. Goût de levure, malt, herbal, amertume moyenne surtout en fin de bouche. Carbonatation faible, corps moyen-dense.

Fantastic appearance. Lightly hazy deep straw body has a well-retained white head and plentiful lacing. Tons of bubbles coursing up through the liquid and the beer even begins to gush lightly.
Holy crap. Is this beer brewed with hot dogs??? That is one hell of a rauch nose. Incredibly greasy bacon, grilled hot dogs and just tons of smokiness. Oily as all hell. But, of course, endearing as all get out. It never falls off, either. At the end of the glass, it still smells like a hot dog. No flaws or alcohol detected.
The flavor, thankfully, is much more complex, lending a very saison-like acidity and very estery fruitiness to the finish, following the rauch malts. Smokey, but not too sweet, thankfully, and with a wonderfully tight, engaging carbonation that helps break up some of the smoke. If you arent a smoked beer fan, youre not going to like this, but if you can handle some smoke, the fruitiness and pale malt sweetness balances the smoke and some moderate acidity helps to balance. Probably just a tad on the sweet side, overall, with some definite sugary overtones, but I’m not sure this beer would work if it was super dry. As is, it’s delightfullly drinkable and on account of the low alcohol, the sugars are the strongest palate fatiguer here. I think theyre pretty easily balanced by all of this lovely Belgian ester character, black pepper, white pepper, even some pears and pineapple. I drank the whole bottle very greedily and could certainly have kept going. This is a hell of a session beer. I’m pretty tired of bone dry, hoppy session ipas with little differentiation from the next one. Absolutely characterful, innovative and just all around well-made. A rare treat, and I’m overjoyed (but not surprised) that this great brewery is still putting out top-notch and thoughtful beers. And Ernest approved?? Wow. Must be on to something. Mmmmmmm....hot dogs....

Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh floral, slightly smoked light malts, hay, flowers, citrus, grass, weeds, hints of sugar and smoked ham. Taste is slightly sweet floral, light malts, flowers, sugar, hay, weeds, grain, hints of minerals and smoke. Little bitterness, slightly dry and watery mouthfeel. For being only 3,8% ABV, this is very nice.
