Bottle, 115 13. A slow, to a somewhat geological extent, gusher that pours hazy light yellow with a nice dense creamy head. Aroma is quite tart and yeasty, with whiffs of smoky bonfire and sausage water, as well as nice fruity hops with passion fruits and apricots. Full body with average carbonation. Flavour is tart with spicy yeast, roasted malts with wood and smoke as well as hoppy apricots and orange peel. Nice lingering yeasty finish.

On tap at Ho.st. Strangely this tap pours a ridiculously clear gold for an IPA. Big bready citrusy hop aroma. Very soft bodied with a med-full mouthfeel gives it a luscious mouthfeel.

On tap at Ho.st. Slightly lighter than the Lou Lou porter it is still a dark brown pour with ruby highlights and a think foamy ran head. The aroma is roasty coffee/chocolate and hoppiness. Med-full bodied with a velvety mouthfeel. The taste is sweet syrupy chocolate, darkly bitter very roasty but not all that hoppy. More solid stout than Black IPA. Very roasty very cocoa flavor. A good beer but a miss as a black IPA.

On tap at Ho.st. Now listed at 11.9% Sample that pours a crystal clear gold hard to believe it is almost 12%! Tons of bourbon, honey, oak and vanilla in the nose. Boozy taste in a med-light body. The taste is sharp caramel vanilla and bourbon with tons of heat. A great barrel aged beer but not exactly sippable.

A dark cola black pour with ruby highlights and a solid tan head. Smokey cocoa beans in the aroma. A soft medium bodied velvitiness. The taste is cocoa, roasty chocolate with hints of coffee. This is lusciously good but much less smokey than I was expecting. Once it warmed up the smoke finally started to come through.

On tap at Ho.st. A cloudy honey orange gold with a foamy off-white head. Big tropical fruit aroma with spicy malt notes. Smooth bodied with a soft round carbonation. The taste is woodsy tart and spicy with a good malt backbone. Delicious.

On tap at Hopfenstark Ho.st. A fairly clear straw gold with a thick white head. Very fruity coriander and orange zest aroma - classic witbier. Med-light bodied and fairly smooth. This is a classic straight up witbier. No more no less.

On tap at Vices et Versa. God I love the name on this beer. it is a cloudy light straw gold. It has a mild fruity earthy aroma. The taste is earthy, lots of maple, smokey, honey glazed ham - good stuff. Very good stuff especially when you consider the low ABV.

Bottle: Poured a clear blonde color ale with a nice huge pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice clean cereal notes with light subtle flora notes. Taste is also dominated by very nice crisp and clean cereal notes with light dry hoppy notes and limited residual sugar notes or butter notes that can be easily found in the style. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. This beer is clean and easily drinkable and a great example of the style.
