A little heavy on the fruit juice side for me. Pours amber with ok lacing and no head. Sweet and fruity head. Texture a little syrupy. Very light carbonation. Finishes with light sweetness. Tap at brewpub in Montreal on opening night.

Nice little package. Pours black with great lacing and good head. Soft carbonation with nice nusky roast nalt aroma on head. More black than Ipa. Smooth finish with a bitter nut kick. Not hugely hop heavy and not sure exactly how to classify this but its good drinking. Tap at new brewpub on opening night.

On tap at Belmont Station, pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of lightly tart wheat, some subtle smoked notes, and biscuit. Flavour brings out notes smoked malt and refreshingly dry wheat, with only a small hint of tartness. The smokiness wonderfully compliments the dry wheat, surprisingly. Fantastic stuff.

Pour is a cloudy blonde with a huge white head. Aroma is some lagerish bready malts with a noble hop. Flavor is somewhat fruity but also a bit grassy hop bitterness. The malt is bone dry but adds a little honey after the swallow. This is a good beer with some lager notes along with a nice ale yeast. Not 90 percentile good but better than the average blonde ale.

The Sampler, Brooklyn ($15): Pours orange with a sea foam head. Aroma is tropical fruit and a bit of funk, but it ain’t as saisonesque as many other saisons. Taste is mildly bitter, with a hoppiness that carries over to the aftertaste. A little on the dry side. Somewhat sweet around the middle. Nothing all too impressive.

Bottle from Elizabeth St., Bellingham
Hazy golden color; small head. The aroma is a bit plastic, some sweat, and light spices. Dry mouthfeel; mid-spicy flavor, but also some vegetables; ordinary bitterness; a bit of metallic feeling in the end.
Not exciting.
