75 cl bottle, thanks to fiulijn. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Mild sourish and toasted malty. Bitter and citric. Toasted malty and light caramelish.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet honey and barnyard. Flavor is a decent fresh fruit with some white wine and vinegar. Finish is bone dry and a little tart. No real mustiness or pepper which I like in a saison are found. This was tart and sweet. Found in a bargan bin for 7 bucks.

Dégustée en fût au Vices & Versa à Montréal. De couleur noire et opaque. Nez de malt rôti, léger de chocolat noir, de café et de chocolat au lait (notes lactiques) avec des notes de houblon herbeux ainsi que des traces fruitées (prunes noires). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement huileuse. Goût de malt rôti accompagné de traces de fruits (fruits foncés) et de chocolat au lait (faibles notes lactiques) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de chocolat noir avec des traces de mélasse puis en finale l’on retrouve un léger goût de café avec une légère amertume de houblon herbeux ainsi que des notes de noix rôties. Post-goût moyen et aux notes sèches, légèrement amer de rôti, de houblon herbeux aux notes florales avec des notes de café, de chocolat noir et de noix. (27 mai 2013)

A dark brown ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, a herbaceous malt with brett notes and wood extract. In mouth, a smooth bitter chocolate with fruity notes, coconut, and brett. Very nice. On tap at Mondiale 2013, May 31 2013.

En fût au Mondial. Couleur paille trouble, mousse blanche. Arôme de céréales, bananes. Goût de céréales, houblon léger, amertume légère en fin de bouche. Carbonation moyenne, corps moyen.

Bottle. Pours orange gold with bone white head. Nose and taste of peach bread, yeast, light spicy malt, lemongrass, rye and alcohol soaked orange peel. Medium body.

Aroma: Chocolate, roasted, nuts and coffee but on a very weak intensity. Appearance: Intense black with a café-creme head, average thickness, dense, with a very nice lacing. Taste: Attack is sweet with notes of milk chocolate, caramel, malted milk and honey. It is surprising how the roasted accents are not sticking out and by the same fact leaving a very weak roasted bitterness. Everything happens in sugars. Almost no wood, roast and smoke accents. Deceiving a bit.

Pours deep cloudy gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Fruity caramel aromas. Medium bodied with sweet fruity yeast and caramel upfront turning to mild bitter fruit skin in the lasting finish.
