Can. Grapefruit aroma with notes of caramel malt, mango, papaya, floral and pine resiny hops. Pours clear copper colored with a finger of tan head that has excellent retention and decent lacing. Starts with juicy mango, papaya and caramel malt flavors. Finishes dry but still quite smooth with grapefruit, floral hop and pine resiny hop flavors. Quite good.

Lattina. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dal luppolo. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma che resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido si presenta cristallino. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo, ananas, arancia amara e mandarino.

Lattina. Il gusto al naso propende per il frumento. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale, permanendo in maniera apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di apparenza opalescente. Il colore è giallo dorato torbido. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è normale e c'è anche una componente leggermente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Il tetto della bocca porta note di miele, frumento, frutta secca, pane cotto di recente, un accenno di resinoso, erbaceo e agrumi.

Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è discreto e c'è anche una componente leggermente acidula e una di umami. La forza gustativa è elevata e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, un accenno di resinoso, agrumi, arancia rossa, lime e sale.

Tap at Marigny Brasserie & Bar, New Orleans. Aroma is fruity with tart citrus, lime, orange, soft mango, fruit peel, and wheat. Flavour is tart with a hint of saltiness. Body is light to medium. Not very sour but nicely fruity and tropical.

Bottle from 504 Craft Beer Reserve, New Orleans. Aroma is tasty Bourbon with chocolate, dark malt, smooth roast, moderate coconut, oak, and some caramel. Flavour is medium sweet with a mild roasty bitterness. Body is medium. I'd like a little more coconut, but the Bourbon barrel aging is on point.

Can from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee, chocolate, a little char, and light liquorice. Also picking up a slight fruity touch. Flavour is moderate sweet with a good roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Nicely aromatic Stout, good one!

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is brown and dark malts with caramel, toffee, some liquorice, touch of nuts, some dried/dark fruity notes, candy, mild spicy. Flavour is medium to fairly sweet and mild bitter. Body is above medium. Rich malty aroma, sweet with some fruity notes, nutty caramel toffee malt. Good brew.

From tap at Barcade, New York. Grainy malt aroma with honey, spicy yeast, soft dried fruits. Medium sweet flavour. Body is medium. Well past its prime (2012 vintage), has accumulated a honey sweetness, but the spicy yeast still shines.
